CINCINNATI -- Authorities have charged a 21-year-old woman with murder in the shooting death of a man last August, and charged her with robbing and kidnapping the man police had originally arrested in the case.

A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Chyanne Daniels last month in the death of 25-year-old Donshae Gentry, according to court records that were unsealed Thursday.

Police responded to the Village at Roll Hill apartment complex on Aug. 17 and found Gentry in a vehicle that had crashed into a telephone poll. He was dead from a gunshot wound.

Authorities arrested 29-year-old Oscar Torbert the next day and charged him with murder and other crimes in Gentry's death. However, those charges were dismissed last month "in the interest of justice," prosecutors wrote.

It was actually Daniels who fatally shot Gentry, according to the indictment unsealed this week. Armed with a gun, she also robbed and kidnapped Torbert, the indictment states.

Daniels is facing two counts of murder, as well as charges of felonious assault, robbery, aggravated robbery and kidnapping.

Authorities arrested Daniels Tuesday. She is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment Friday morning.
