Hamilton Township police arrest two Missouri fugitives wanted on murder charges

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Police arrested two Missouri fugitives wanted on murder charges Saturday, according to the Hamilton Township Police Department.

Police detained Timothy Callahan, 44, of Potosi, Missouri and David Young, 76, of Ironton, Missouri. Both face two murder charges in Missouri.

Officers executed two warrants: one in Hamilton Township and then another in Deerfield Township, where the two were detained.

Investigators from the Reynolds County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol interviewed the suspects, police said. 

Callahan and Young are being held at the Warren County Jail as they await extradition.

The Warren County Tactical Response Unit assisted Hamilton Township Police in the arrest.
