CINCINNATI -- Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters will not try Ray Tensing a third time, but he said he will cooperate with the U.S. Attorney's Office to investigate possible civil rights violations.

Tensing -- an ex-police officer charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter in the 2015 shooting death of Samuel DuBose -- faced two Hamilton County juries on the charges. Both trials ended with hung juries.
Protesters gathered outside the courthouse hours ahead of the anticipated announcement.
