CINCINNATI -- Fake money is making is way through Northside and, according to police, these bills are realistic enough to pass the most common quick counterfeit tests.

The fake bills are made with real paper -- the counterfeiters are bleaching the ink of one and ten dollar bills and then copying the image of a hundred dollar bill, police said.

"It feels like money but it's a pretty obvious forgery," said Northside community officer Melissa Cummins. "I urge anyone who has or even thinks they have a counterfeit: Bring it in, let us look at it."
