CINCINNATI -- An elderly Linwood man armed only with his cane successfully repelled a home invasion Oct. 30, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.

Albert Fuston, 76, said Thursday night that he had never lost a fight in his life -- so when two men kicked in his door Oct. 30, he picked up his cane and fended the pair off.

Michael Mann, 32, and Josh Turner, 23, broke into Fuston’s house while his friend Stoney Behler was visiting, police said. Fuston said the pair ransacked his home and attacked Behler, leaving him with injuries so severe that he had to be taken to the UC Medical Center.

"One wiped all my pictures off the mantle," Fuston said. "That really made me mad. My wife, my kids and them dead."

Fuston then picked up his cane and shouted at the intruders to leave his house.

"I walk towards ‘em, and they went out the door," he said.

Police arrested Mann and Turner while they fled down the street; both men stand charged with multiple counts of aggravated robbery.
