DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A Warren County father is accused of shaking his 3-month-old baby, injuring the child's brain.
The baby was screaming, twitching and went limp before someone brought her to the hospital on Oct. 22, Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said. Doctors found she had subdural hemorrhages and determined it was a shaking injury, he said.
The doctors also found evidence of past abuse and head trauma injuries, Fornshell said.
A Warren County grand jury indicted father Nicholas Peak on charges of endangering children and felonious assault.
Fornshell said he didn't know the current status of the child or if she'll suffer any long term effects.
Peak is being held in the Warren County Jail. He's scheduled for arraignment later this month.
