Colerain Township Police Department wants help in fatal hit-and-run on Cheviot Road

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Police want help finding a driver who hit and killed a person walking along Cheviot Road early Sunday morning.

The victim was walking north near Galbraith Road at about 3 a.m., according to the Colerain Township Police Department. The driver was gone by the time officers arrived, and the victim later died at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Jim Love, Colerain police spokesman, said the department is working to notify all family members before releasing the victim's identity.

A gray Toyota Camry similar to one that is believed to have hit a pedestrian on Cheviot Road.

Investigators believe the vehicle was a gray or silver 1997-1999 Toyota Camry. It would have damage on the front passenger side and would be missing the passenger side mirror.
