LEBANON, Ohio — A Clearcreek Township man accused of beating his 2-month-old son to death is being held on $250,000 cash bond, the Journal-News reported.

Cody Colwell, 27, fled to his family home in Lexington, Kentucky, after Cayden Colwell died April 16, according to Clearcreek police Chief John Terrill. He was captured by Lexington police and extradited to Ohio.

A Warren County Common Pleas Court judge ruled that Colwell is not allowed to pay 10 percent of bond to be released, as is sometimes the case.

Colwell was indicted late last month by a Warren County grand jury on two counts of murder, felonious assault, and two counts of endangering children. He was also charged with abusing his girlfriend's 3-year-old son.
