CINCINNATI -- Officials released a dashcam video captured by an Uber driver behind Briana Benson’s car on the night of Madie Hart's death.

Benson, 20,faces charges of murder in Hart’s death. Police said Benson ran over the 18-year-old on Walnut Street on March 26. Hart was dragged about 88 feet under Benson’s car, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said. Hart died in a hospital four days later.

Eyewitnesses, including the Uber driver and a friend of Hart, testified in court Thursday.

Video from Uber driver Sam Sing shows Hart banging on the car. It also shows the car running over Hart and dragging her down the street.

“The car did not go straight, after they hit her, she fell down and they go like little curvy and then they go straight,” Sing said.

David Matuke was with Hart and her friends that night, and he said he watched as Hart was hit.

“She was just kind of, hitting the vehicle,” Matuke said. “She worked her way toward the front of the vehicle, kind of moved in reverse, and kind of turned towards her, and you know she ran her over and got her underneath the vehicle.”

The defense questioned witnesses and tried to show that Hart came out into the street in an attempt to continue fighting the people in the car.

Video released Wednesday from security cameras and bystanders showed a large melee that broke out in front of two Walnut Street bars.

The trial resumes at 9 a.m. Friday.
