CINCINNATI -- A man is being held on $2 million bond in the stabbing death of his grandmother.

Isaiah Zellers, 22, was in court Monday morning. He's charged with murder. He did not enter a plea. His case goes to a grand jury June 6.

Cincinnati police alleged Zellers killed Chesney Shaw, 71, on Saturday night in East Price Hill.

Officers were called for a stabbing on Grand Avenue near West Eighth Street, according to Sgt. Mike Miller.

Shaw had died by the time they arrived. Zellers was arrested at the scene.

Zellers, whose last name is also spelled "Zellars" in some prior court documents, remained at the Hamilton County Justice Center on Monday afternoon.
