CINCINNATI -- A wife and husband were found dead Friday morning in a Mount Airy apartment, according to Cincinnati police.

Officers from District 5 went to an apartment building on West North Bend Road at about 9 a.m. to do a welfare check.

Larry Furr, 56, and Janet Furr, 55, were dead when officers went inside their apartment; both suffered gunshot wounds.

"I have noticed that their vehicle had not moved two or three days, so I assumed that she was on vacation," next-door neighbor Joe Fliehman said.

Lt. Steve Saunders said a relative requested the welfare check.

Cincinnati police continue to investigate the circumstances around the deaths, but added they aren't looking for any suspects.
