CINCINNATI — Northside brewery Urban Artifact temporarily shut down its taproom Friday after a bar employee tested positive for COVID-19.

"This is not something we are taking lightly and intend to remain closed until all of our taproom staff receives a negative result. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience; we are not willing to put people at risk," read a statement from the brewery.

With the taproom being closed for carryout, Urban Artifact owners encouraged people to shop its online store, though orders will not be available for pickup from the taproom.

"However, we will be extending the time frame for pickup orders given the situation," the statement read.

Owners said updates on reopening will be posted to Urban Artifact's social media.
