ALEXANDRIA, Ky. — A Northern Kentucky church has suspended in-person services after its pastor tested positive for COVID-19.

Senior pastor Bo Weaver of The Bridge Church in Alexandria announced the news on a Facebook post Friday afternoon.

"I am on the back end of the virus and am feeling better each day, but will continue to quarantine until I am completely symptom free. For everyone’s sake, however, the elders feel that it would best if we suspended live services for the next two weeks," Weaver said in the post.

Weaver also said his symptoms are mild.

"Please take precautions to stay healthy. I have been fortunate to not be too sick but I don’t want you to take any unnecessary risks," he wrote.

Live services have been suspended for the next two weeks, and Weaver said he's hopeful services can resume on Aug. 2. Online services will continue to be broadcast for the next two Sundays.
