CINCINNATI — Christmas may have been a few months ago, but the family of Christian Kennedy-Graham is hoping the spirit of giving will live on in the form of a toy drive that will provide new toys for kids at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and through the Dragonfly Foundation.

Christian lost his battle with cancer at just 19-months old. His mother, Tanya Kennedy-Gill, said the family practically lived at Children's during his treatments, and she vividly recalls how happy Christian was when someone would walk in with a new toy.

That joy is why she started the toy drive five years ago.

"I'll never forget my first care package from them, notebooks to take notes from rounds and the doctors coming in and out," said Kennedy-Gill. "There were gas cards and cards for a Starbucks coffee, things like that. Just a little care package, a taste of normalcy, a touch of comfort. That's what the Dragonfly Foundation helps with during those troubling times."

The Dragonfly Foundation is taking any in-person donations people may want to make, and a GoFundMe account has been set up for those who'd like to make a monetary donation.

Kennedy-Gill said they'd like to deliver all of the gifts on February 18 -- Christian's birthday.
