The Banks has transformed Cincinnati's riverfront with parks, restaurants, living space and offices -- though it has had its share troubles.
A number of restaurants have come and gone, and projects such as a new University of Cincinnati law school and a new concert venue have either stalled or fallen through. The mixed use space is overseen by the Joint Banks Steering Committee, but the committee hasn't formally met in several years.
Former Cincinnati mayor and current committee member Charlie Luken has said he's even in the dark about the group's status.
