COVINGTON, Ky. -- Northern Kentucky loves the Cov, but at least 145 people think America would love the Covfefe more.

After the Internet worked itself into a frenzy on May 31 trying to decipher an apparent online misspelling from President Donald Trump, Jared Koshiol posted a petition to Change.org suggesting changing Covington’s name to the viral typo covfefe.

"This new name will allow us to honor legacy of the 45th leader of the free world and make (what was formerly known as) Covington into the bigly-est and most beautiful must-see place from sea to shining sea,” the petition reads.

By Monday morning, 145 people had pledged their support, apparently including Cincinnati City Council member Chris Seelbach.

"They say that NKY has an 'identity crisis,’” wrote supporter Leslie Blair. “People downstate don't listen to our needs. We aren't quite Cincinnati, aren't quite Kentucky. We are Covfefe!”
