CINCINNATI (AP) -- E.W. Scripps Co. (SSP) on Friday reported second-quarter net income of $11.5 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Cincinnati-based company said it had net income of 14 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 14 cents per share.
The television and radio company posted revenue of $227.8 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $232.5 million.
E.W. Scripps shares have declined 13 percent since the beginning of the year.
