CINCINNATI -- Kroger is expanding recall of some products because they might be contaminated with listeria.

Newly added to the list: Kroger Broccoli Raisin Salad kits, which has a packet of dried fruit and sunflower seeds. Those seeds come from the same supplier that led Kroger to recall its Salad Toppers Sunflower Kernels, Sunflower Kernels and Cranberry Delight Trail Mix.

The sunflower seed supplier indicated its product may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, which can cause fever, muscle aches, diarrhea or other gastrointestinal problems. The illness can be severe for people who are pregnant or have a weakened immune system, Kroger said.

The Broccoli Raisin Salad kits will have UPC 0028715820000; the company is recalling all sizes and all Use-By dates.

Customers can return the item back to a Kroger store for a full refund.

The company also announced Monday it was recalling its Simple Truth Organic Mixed Vegetables, also for potential listeria contamination. That recall affects the 10-oz. size, with UPC 11110 36738 and Use-By dates of DEC 2016 and JAN 2017.

Like the salad kit, the recalled Simple Truth Organic Mixed Vegetables can be returned for a full refund.
