While I of course like to spend my birthday with friends and family, I have to admit that my favorite part of turning a year older is all the free things I get.

No, I don’t mean presents. I’m talking coffee, sweet treats and percentage-off discounts at my favorite stores. And now, I can add wine to the list thanks to a brand new program from Barefoot.

The wine brand is now giving away free full-size bottles of wine to customers just for signing up on their website — no purchase necessary.

Target

To get a free Barefoot beverage of your choice, simply go to Barefoot’s website and enter your name and birth date. As long as you’re 21 years of age or older, you will receive an email at the start of your birth month telling you how to redeem your free wine.

The freebie comes as a rebate for a Barefoot beverage of your choice, up to $9.99. To redeem, just purchase the Barefoot item, then submit your receipt digitally for reimbursement. The offer is not valid in every state, so be sure to check the terms and conditions before signing up.

A 750 ml bottle of Barefoot brand wine costs around $6 — you could try the white zinfandel that’s available at Walmart, or a pink Moscato from Target, or the brand’s Cabernet Sauvignon. A 1.5 L bottle is around $9 (like this Reisling at Walmart), so you can get a lot of wine for free!

Of course, Barefoot also has hard seltzer that costs around $8 for a four-pack, so you could also get that instead.

If you’re not into wine, there are plenty of other freebies you can snag on your birthday instead.

Just a handful of the places that offer birthday goodies include Auntie Anne’s, which will give you a free pretzel on your special day, and Bath & Body Works, which will give you a free product. MyPanera users can also get a free pastry and Starbucks will give you a free drink or food item of your choice.

Will you be signing up for a free bottle of Barefoot wine for your birthday?
