'A Christmas Story the Musical'

Poor Ralphie Parker. All he wants for Christmas is a Red Ryder air rifle. Ralphie's classic tale of woe delivered with a lot of laughter is set to music through the touring Broadway play at the Aronoff this weekend.

2017 Winter Covington Night Bazaar

Local artists, crafters, restaurants, brewers and entertainers will deck downtown Covington in holiday cheer during the third annual Winter Night Bazaar. The theme for this two-evening event organized by Renaissance Covington is "The Night Sky."

Holiday Pops at Music Hall

Make some great holiday memories this weekend with the Cincinnati Pops at Music Hall. The Pops Chorale will perform and dance to holiday classics with special guests Liz Callaway and Denzal Sinclair. And don't forget to bring a toy to the performance. The Pops is teaming up with St. Vincent DePaul for a toy drive as part of its performances.

An Acoustic Christmas with Over the Rhine

Right next door to Music Hall, the band Over the Rhine will offer its own take on holiday cheer this weekend as well. The band, which consists of husband Linford Detweiler and wife Karin Berquist, will host three acoustic shows. Each performance will include a blend of the band's original music and holiday classics sung in three-part harmonies.

MidiCi Grand Opening

Love free food? Then you'll definitely want to check out MidiCi, the Neapolitan Pizza Co.'s grand opening weekend. The fast-casual pizzeria is offering a buy-one-get-one deal for its thin crust pies. MidiCi promises fresh ingredients and a fun, late night vibe.

Santacon

Will you be naughty or nice during this Saturday's Santacon? The 10th annual bar crawl, which invites participants to dress up as Santa Claus, starts at Jack Casino and raises money for the Cure Starts Now. Participation in Santacon also enters you into a grand raffle for two three-day passes to Bunbury Music Festival 2018, items from Rivertown Brewery, beer and gift cards.

Mount Adams Reindog Parade

Make no bones about it, the Mount Adams Reindog Parade is one of the most "ah"-inspiring annual events of the holiday season. The parade sponsored by the Mount Adams Business Guild is a fundraiser for SPCA Cincinnati. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the parade kicks off at 2 p.m. with Santa leading the way. There will be prizes for costume categories that include small and large dogs, dog-and-owner look-a-likes and multiple dogs.

OTR Rail Dog Parade

And did you know you can make a whole weekend of holiday dog parades? Well, you can. The fifth annual OTR Rail Dog Parade takes place Sunday starting at Washington Park. Prizes will be awarded after this parade ends as well.

Second Sunday on Main Winter Edition

If you attend the OTR Rail Dog Parade, you might want to make it a full day of fun in Over-the-Rhine. The first-ever Second Sunday of Main Winter Edition starts at noon and continues until 5 p.m. The event will include music, holiday-themed popup bars and local vendors selling their goods along Main Street.
