CINCINNATI -- MadTree Brewing Company will host a grand opening celebration Feb. 11 for its new Oakley facility.

The public debut of the new brewery, taproom, outdoor beer garden and private event space in Oakley will coincide with the MadTrees annual Winter Bonanza anniversary party.

“Seeing this dream become a reality still blows my mind,” said MadTree co-founder Kenny McNutt in a news release announcing the date. “Four years ago, before we opened, we couldn’t even remotely imagine doing something like this. It’s an honor to be able to invite the community that built this to share in the celebration.”

Besides MadTree's full lineup of beer, the Winter Bonanza grand opening will also showcase breweries from around the region and the country. The event will also have live music, along with food trucks and restaurants from the Cincinnati.

McNutt and company broke ground on the new facility, located inside the former RockTenn factory at 3301 Madison Road, in May. Referred to as "MadTree 2.0," the new $18 million brewery will replace the company's current facility at 5164 Kennedy Ave. in Columbia Township.

MadTree 2.0 will bring more than 50 jobs to the City of Cincinnati. MadTree plans to create 40 more positions at the Oakley location over the next three years, according to company spokesman Mike Stuart.

Another MadTree co-founder, Matt Duncan said the new brewhouse will also allow his company to increase beer production and expand distribution during the May groundbreaking.

“We’ve been struggling to keep up with demand locally and this expansion will allow us to catch up. Plus, we can begin sharing MadTree in other parts of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana,”Duncan said.

In its press release, MadTree stated it will release more details about the Winter Festival and grand opening in coming weeks.
