CINCINNATI -- The Avett Brothers, Kaleo and Flo Rida will headline a series of free concerts at Great American Ball Park this baseball season.
The concert series, which the Cincinnati Reds announced Thursday, requires the purchase of a ticket to see the Reds play the day of each concert.
Single-game tickets for the 2017 season will go on sale starting 9 a.m. Saturday.The sale excludes the Reds' Opening Day game on April 3 against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The dates for the concerts are as follows:
May 5: Icelandic alternative rock band Kaleo will perform after the 7:10 p.m. Reds vs. San Francisco Giants game. The evening also includes free fireworks and the annual "Star Wars" weekend promotion at Great American Ball Park.
Aug. 4: Rapper Flo Rida will perform after the Reds play the St. Louis Cardinals. Again, the concert will coincide with the free Friday fireworks display. The Reds also will give away a limited number of Elvis Presley bobbleheads before the game.
Aug. 26: The three-time Grammy-nominated Avett Brothers will perform after the 7:10 p.m. game between the Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates. The first 20,000 fans at Great American Ball Park also will receive a free Homer Bailey bobblehead that night.
The Reds previously announced a series of themed-night ticket packages also available for purchase starting Saturday.
Marvel Superhero packages: The Reds will celebrate the Marvel Comics universe with one of two bobblehead giveaways this season. The first giveaway, set for April 21-23, includes an exclusive "Guardians of the Galaxy" Rocket Raccoon bobblehead as the Reds host the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ball Park. The team will then give away an "Iron Man" bobblehead June 2-4 when the Reds play the Atlanta Braves.
Margaritaville package: Fans will receive a Margaritaville parrot bobblehead with the purchase of a ticket to the Reds vs. Washington Nationals on July 14. The night also will include a free post-game fireworks display set to Margaritaville music.
Peanuts package: The Reds will celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the Peanuts musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" by giving away a Charlie Brown bobblehead with the purchase of a ticket to any game against the Florida Marlins July 21-23.
Oktoberfest package: Get a commemorative Oktoberfest mug, a first beer at the Reds game and first beer at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati with the purchase of a ticket to any of the Reds games vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates Sept. 15-17.
