CINCINNATI — Rhinegeist, the local brewery based in Over-the-Rhine, announced it will start selling its craft ciders in Boston beginning Feb. 25.
The company reported in a press release that Massachusetts Beverage Alliance will handle distribution of the Cidergeist brand to restaurants, bars, liquor and grocery stores in the city and throughout that state.
“Over the last few months, we have seen a strong response from customers excited for a drier craft cider option,” said Rhinegeist co-founder, Bryant Goulding. “We are thrilled to take Cidergeist to the heart of New England, with its strong cider tradition and entrenched craft culture.”
Rhinegeist introduced Cidergeist to the Tri-State in October. The cider is the first non-beer beverage produced by the brewery located at 1910 Elm Street. The company also launched a $10 million expansion plan to increase both seating and output capacity in 2015.
