Oxford's Quarter Barrel Brewery & Pub may add location in Hamilton

Posted

HAMILTON, Ohio -- Quarter Barrel Brewery & Pub in Oxford may open a second location in Hamilton, according to the Journal-News.

The brewpub is currently negotiating leasing space in a three-story building at the southwest corner of Main and B streets in downtown Hamilton, said Mike Dingeldein, director of Hamilton’s CORE (Consortium for Ongoing Reinvestment Efforts) Fund. CORE owns the property located at 101-103 Main St.

Dingeldein told the Journal-News that because Quarter Barrel is in the lease-negotiation process with CORE attorneys its owners cannot officially announce their plans until an agreement is signed.

If a lease agreement is reached, Quarter Barrel will occupy all three stories of the building. Depending on a structural review of the property, the pub also may have a rooftop patio overlooking the Great Miami River and downtown Hamilton.

Dingeldein said Quarter Barrel’s owners told him the original Quarter Barrel, located at 107 E. Church St. in Oxford, would remain open if plans for the second location move forward.
