Welcome to $30 & Under!

No long food reviews here. Just the essentials on where to find best local eats to blow your mind, but not your budget. Twice a month, we challenge our team of foodies to scour the town for the best bites for two under $30. This is their latest discovery.

This Week's Find: Giuseppe's

Why We Love It: This humble neighborhood pizzeria tucked away in Latonia serves up some of the best pizza in the Tri-State. The star of the menu is the "Terrace Topper" ($12.99 12" or $18.99 16") which features their own homemade southern barbecue sauce, diced chicken, caramelized onions and cilantro. Other signature "neighborhood pizzas" come in at the same price, while plain cheese pies start at $8.49 for a 12" and $11.99 for a 16" with toppings costing extra. Giuseppe's also offers about 20 different hoagies like the "Mama Mia" with steak, provolone, tomato, onion and mayo ($6.99) and the "Hot Sicilian" with spicy capocollo, Genoa salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato and onion with mayo and Italian dressing ($7.29). We didn't want to fill up before the pizza, so we stuck with the Licking Riverside Salad ($3.99) to start. Combined with chicken for an extra $.99, it could also make a good light lunch on its own. Our tab ended up at $28.59 and we had two slices left for later.
