Welcome to $30 & Under! No long food reviews here. Just the essentials on where to find best local eats to blow your mind, but not your budget. Twice a month, we challenge our team of foodies to scour the town for the best bites for two under $30. This is their latest discovery.

This Week's Find: The Works

Why We Love It: This pizza joint is a renovated firehouse with loads of character. There's also a nice outdoor dining area and a rehabbed train car full of booths (if you know a kiddo obsessed with trains, this could be a very compelling setup). The menu has all kinds of Italian favorites and bar and grill classics -- burgers, sandwiches, specialty salads, calzones, pasta, wings, and just about any fried food you can imagine. The brick oven pizzas range from adventurous to ageless: a meat lover's pizza and margarita pizza are cooked alongside the breakfast pizza, potato pizza and fajita pizza. Most specialty pizzas run $7.99 for a small, $15.99 for a medium and $18.99 for a large.

We stuck we with an old reliable -- a small pepperoni ($7.99) -- along with pizza fries ($7.49). Two yummy sides: Caesar salad ($6.99) and a Rhinegeist Truth ($6). This was our first time trying their classic Caesar, and we were not disappointed; they're very liberal with their cheese. We ended up splitting all of the food nearly 50/50 (because the salad was so darn good), and we both left stuffed. We ended up with a $29.99 bill.
