According to North College Hill police, the would-be robber pulled a gun and demanded money. When Leach tried to get away, they said, he was shot in the back.

The gunman went back outside and quickly ran from the surveillance cameras' view.

After three days at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, family members posted online Friday their beloved father, grandfather and best friend had died.

North College Hill police said they think the gunman is local and likely has been in the area of Leach's shop before Tuesday's shooting.
