HARRISON, Ohio -- Violet Foster's parents have a romantic marriage proposal story to tell her, when she gets old enough.

Violet is just five months old. Her parents, Adam and Jessica Foster, met in high school and started dating about 10 years later, after connecting on Facebook.

With a blessing from Jessica's father, Adam had to figure out when to pop the question.

"So I would just throw out a feeler and say, 'Hey, would you marry me?' and just joke around," he said.

Marriage was no joke for Jessica.

"I just needed to know he was serious about it," she said. "I'd say 'no' until you asked me the right way."

That's what happened on a cold, snowy night in December 2012, at The Olde Fort Pub in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. On the back patio, they caught snowflakes on their tongues. Then, Jessica turned her back, and Adam got down on one knee to show he was serious.

A surveillance camera captured the proposal -- Jessica's surprised face and all.

"I had no idea he had talked to my family," she said. "I had no idea he had bought rings."

Watch the proposal in this video provided by WCPO media partner Fort Thomas Matters:

The couple wed in front of 26 people at their local church. Now, with their family expanding to three people, they're hoping to have another child, too.

They also said they've been in touch with the pub's owners, who want to give them a copy of the surveillance footage.

"Once I saw the video, it brought all the memories back," Jessica said. "I could picture myself right there in that moment again. I was so glad to see the video."
