CINCINNATI -- Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

I love to eat. So turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie… Yeah, I’m getting hungry already.

But I also love the concept of taking a holiday to be thankful.

Here at WCPO Insider we’re thankful for all of our Insiders and this great community we live in.

As a way to say thanks, this entire week you can access Insider stories for free. You just need to provide us with your email address so we can stay in touch.

This is an opportunity for those of you who have not yet become Insiders to explore our high-quality journalism from our talented and experienced reporters.

Here are a few examples of some of the stories you can read this week:

I mentioned I like to eat. If you do too, you may want to check business reporter Dan Monk's database of local restaurant inspections. This is a feature Dan creates each year for WCPO Insiders.

Whitey Campbell is Moeller's 78-year-old equipment manager. This tough old guy whips these top notch athletes into shape off the field.

Joe Rosemeyer paddled down Mill Creek, the Cincinnati region's notorious river of poo.

Remember the Kansas City Chiefs fan who died at Paul Brown Stadium? It turns out he spent his last few hours alive with a group of Bengals tailgaters. They started out as strangers and ended up friends.

Here's everything you need to know about gangs in Cincinnati.

He's lost more than he's won. But colleagues still call this 24-year-old a political "wonder kid."

"Shining"-themed bar Overlook Lodge brings rustic '70s vibe, craft cocktails to Pleasant Ridge.

When Debbie Bowman was 3 years old, her mother drowned her brother in the family's bathtub. Debbie lived a difficult and abuse-filled childhood. Now, she heads Boys Hope Girls Hope of Cincinnati.

But wait, there’s more!

On Cyber Monday, Nov. 30, we are offering the most insane, crazy deal we’ve ever offered.

On Monday, anyone who becomes a new annual Insider at our introductory rate of $19.99 will receive a $20 Amazon.com Gift Card — redeemable immediately to take advantage of those killer Amazon.com Cyber Monday deals.

So you will actually MAKE one penny on the deal.

Plus, you get all of the perks of becoming an Insider:

  • High quality, local journalism
  • Access to exclusive events and other opportunities
  • Deals and discounts to local and national companies
  • A digital subscription to The Washington Post

That’s a lot of value. I’ve written before that my wife is an Insider and our membership has paid for itself several times over. Now, with this deal if you become an Insider on Cyber Monday, you will receive all of that value and actually make one cent on the transaction.

NOTE: There are a limited quantity of gift cards available, so act fast on Monday. Plus, if you act fast that gives you more time to shop Amazon.com for Cyber Monday deals with your $20 gift card.

Here’s how this deal works:

2. We will send you an email welcoming you to Insider and including a link to access your Amazon.com Gift Card.

3. That reward will display a unique gift card code, as well as instructions for redeeming on Amazon.com.
