Police: Driver crossed center line, collided with Cincinnati police SUV

CINCINNATI -- A man is in critical condition after colliding with a Cincinnati police cruiser Monday morning.

Tyrone Mack, 30, was driving north on Central Parkway when he crossed the center line between the Western Hills Viaduct and Marshall Avenue, police said.

Sgt. Charles White, 68, struck Mack's car with a marked Cincinnati Police Department SUV, police said said.

Mack was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

White suffered minor injuries, police said. He was treated at UC Medical Center and released.

CPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.
