CINCINNATI -- If you're a fan of the political center and bipartisanship, you should probably be a Bengals fan.

The team has the NFL's most politically balanced fan base, according to an analysis from FiveThirtyEight

That might be a bit striking, given that the team's market went for President Donald Trump last year. But, as FiveThirtyEight points out, not everybody in our area is a Bengals fan -- and there might even be Bengals fans who don't live here (hard to imagine, but OK).

The NFL's most Democratic-leaning team shouldn't be a shocker: It's San Francisco. The most Republican-leaning: Tampa Bay.

To get those results, FiveThirtyEight polled 2,290 NFL fans last month through SurveyMonkey. They were asked for their three favorite teams and which political party they identify with.

The NFL, as a whole, tends to be less partisan than, say, the NBA, MLB and NHL (which have a more Democratic fan base) and college basketball, college football and NASCAR (which skew Republican).
