LANCASTER, Ohio -- Working retail can be a zoo, but usually that's just a metaphor. Not so for the Lancaster Walmart employee who was caught on video tangling with a monkey in a diaper in the store parking lot.

In the video, which was posted Sunday night on Facebook by Richelle Stewart, the monkey can be seen dangling off of a cart corral and pulling at the employee's vest. A woman in a purple shirt who appears to be the monkey's owner rushes toward the pair and shouts, "Don't pull on him! Let her go!"

The woman disentangles the pair, grabs the monkey by its front paw and leads it away.

"If he bites you, they will put him down," she can be heard saying to the employee. "I'm not mad at you."

A Columbus news outlet reported that the employee was uninjured, but local authorities are now on the lookout for the monkey and its owner. The Department of Agriculture reportedly wants to find out whether or not the animal is registered.

"Why would she bring that?" Stewart can be heard asking in the video.

Honestly, we're not sure.
