MARIEMONT, Ohio -- An attempt to flee police after stealing items from a Mariemont neighborhood resulted in a deadly crash Monday morning in which a 15-year-old driver was killed, police said.
Two juveniles and two 18-year-olds crashed a stolen car into two trees near Wooster Pike in Mariemont Square at around 4:15 a.m., polide said. The driver, identified as Jordan Perkins of Lexington, Kentucky, was found dead at the scene. The others, also of Lexington, had serious injuries.
The car in the crash was reported stolen from Georgetown, Kentucky on Sunday, according to Mariemont Police Chief Richard Hines.

Police were initially dispatched to Ashley Oaks Drive responding to reported car break-ins. The caller said multiple people were breaking into vehicles, driving them and looking into car and home windows with flashlights.
"I just saw some people breaking into my vehicle at my house and driving in my neighborhood, getting out of the car and going up to people's cars and houses with flashlights," the caller said.

While questioning theft victims on Ashley Oaks, police witnessed a vehicle driving westbound on Wooster Pike "at a high rate of speed without any headlights," Hines said. A Mariemont officer arriving at the scene turned around to begin pursuit, and just then the teens crashed.
Police closed Wooster Pike at Mariemont Square to investigate. The road was closed for more than 7 hours on Monday.
In the car, police found items stolen from Ashley Oaks, as well as loaded guns, knives and drug paraphernalia, Hines said.
Two passengers -- Gavin Rogers, 18, and Bradley Coots, 18 -- were taken to University of Cincinnati Hospital Medical Center. The third passenger, a juvenile, was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
Rogers was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. Hines said "other charges are possible" and the investigation is ongoing.
