CINCINNATI – A young woman died after she was shot in Bond Hill Saturday night.

Parris Hummons, 19, was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment, but she died from her injuries.

She and another woman were shot just after 10 p.m. in the 5000 block of Reading Road.

Nearby resident Romi Broadnax said she found the other victim screaming for help and covered in blood.

"I just hope that they stop doing this crazy stuff," Broadnax said. "I mean, it's senseless. It is so senseless."

Police say they have no suspects at this time, but the investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Section at 513-352-3542 or Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.

"They're going to have kids someday, too," another neighbor, Kim Eberhart, said. "And something like this might happen to their kids. I just wish it would stop."

This was the second homicide Saturday evening.
