UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A Union Township woman was sentenced to five years in prison after she pleaded guilty to doing and making meth while pregnant and eventually giving birth to a meth-addicted baby.

Katrina Custer, 34, pleaded guilty to endangering children and corrupting another with drugs. Her business partner, Ronald Meyer, pleaded guilty to illegally manufacturing drugs and corrupting another with drugs. Meyer, 38, was given a nine year sentence.

Police said they received a tip that a woman gave birth to a baby in a bathtub in a home where meth was being produced. Police found Custer and her child at the home.

Meyer told police he gave methamphetamine to Custer, who injected and/or ingested the drug while pregnant, according to police documents. Custer continued using meth while she breastfed the child, police said.

The baby was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital and treated.
