MIAMI TOWNSHIP (CLERMONT COUNTY), Ohio -- A female pedestrian died early Monday after being struck by a vehicle at 10:49 p.m. Sunday on Wards Corner Road near Loveland-Miamiville Road.
Robert McGeorge Jr., 45, of Maineville, was traveling southwest on Wards Corner Road when he struck 38-year-old Nikki J. Cook, of Hamersville, according to the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Cook was transported by helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and died shortly after. Police said alcohol and drugs were not believed to be a factor in the crash. McGeorge was not injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol – Batavia Post.
