BATAVIA, Ohio -- After two days of deliberations, Clermont County jurors found a former Miami Township police officer accused of groping and assaulting a woman during a ride-along last year guilty of three counts of lesser sexual imposition.

John Swing,  an 18-year veteran of the Miami Township force, was charged last year with sexual imposition and assault.

The jury found Swing not guilty of assault.

The accuser was a 20-year-old woman in the department's explorer program. Prosecutors said she was in a ride-along with Swing when they began joking about who would win in a fight.

The woman said Swing took her to his basement and touched her intimately.

Swing has denied the allegations and said he wanted a trial to prove his innocence. The trial has lasted nearly two weeks and jurors spent two days deliberating the case.
