FLORENCE, Ky. -- A 22-year-old woman faces charges in deaths of a Florence man and his grandchildren.

On Thursday, a grand jury indicted Jessica Hood on charges of manslaughter and assault. She faces up to 32 years in prison if convicted.

Hood is accused of hitting 52-year-old Charles Napier and his grandchildren, 13-month-old twins Samantha and Sean May, with her vehicle.

The crash happened on March 15 on Weaver Road in Florence.

According to the indictment, investigators accused Hood of acting “wantonly” while driving and that her car left the roadway due to distraction and inattention.

The crash killed Napier and the children, and injured two other people.

The three other people riding in the car were not injured.

No other details have been released.
