CINCINNATI -- Daryl Robinson, 23, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of 18-year-old Jordan Lane Thursday afternoon in a double shooting in West Price Hill.

Another man in his 20s was seriously wounded in the incident but remains in stable condition. Both men were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Lt. Steve Saunders, Cincinnati Police Department spokesman, said one man was shot in the hip and another in the stomach around 6 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 1400 block of Covedale Avenue near Western Hills Avenue, in the heart of the Covedale Garden District.

Sgt. Jim Perkins said one of the men was found downstairs, and the other was upstairs. Police aren't sure why someone entered the home and shot the men, Perkins said, but they do think the victims were targeted.

Saunders said earlier that the shooting may be linked to a possible robbery.

Todd Yohey, superintendent of Oak Hills Local School District, said the Oak Hills community is saddened by the death of a former student.

"We are saddened to hear about the death of one of our former students. Jordan was well known at Oak Hills High School and his passing will cause us all to reflect on his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jordan and his family," Yohey said.

"I don’t expect it around here," neighbor Lisa Pennekamp said. "It is a nice neighborhood, it is quiet -- a lot of older homes, older people, young people moving in. It’s just shocking, really."

It's not clear if the men lived at the home; neighbors said several people were renting it.
