ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of an Anderson Township man whom Hamilton County deputies discovered dead in his home Tuesday morning.

The deputies went to Honeywood Court, behind Guardian Angels Cemetery, at about 12:48 a.m. for a welfare check. They saw a man down and forced their way inside, where they found 57-year-old Steven J. Henderson Sr. dead.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office isn't revealing how he died; it's sensitive to the investigation, spokesman Mike Robison said.

Robison confirmed late Tuesday night that the sheriff's office had arrested Thomas Schaffner, 39, and charged him with murder and aggravated robbery.

Henderson's beige 2002 Toyota Camry was missing when they discovered the body, but authorities said they recovered it later in the day.

Anyone with information about the case should call the sheriff's office at 513-851-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
