CINCINNATI -- A company specializing in information technology and digital marketing for car dealerships is expected to bring nearly 1,000 jobs to the Tri-State.

CDK Global announced Monday it had chosen Greater Cincinnati -- and more specifically, a location in Ohio -- for its new "Center of Excellence," citing the region's well-educated workforce and good business climate.

"The region is surrounded by acclaimed universities, colleges and technical schools, which is what attracted us to the area," president and CEO Steve Anenen said in a news release. "Ohio has prioritized job growth and education to help businesses like ours grow and succeed."

Tax breaks probably didn't hurt, either: The Ohio Tax Credit Authority on Monday approved a 75 percent, 15-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the CDK project. The deal is expected to bring  $45 million in new annual payroll and retain $3.4 million in existing payroll.

CDK didn't indicate exactly where the new center would be located, though it's expected to be in operation by the middle of next year. Officials in Norwood wouldn't confirm if the City Council had met Monday evening to approve incentives for CDK.

CDK has more than 40 years of experience in the auto retail industry and serves 27,000 locations in more than 100 countries.
