CINCINNATI — Rhinegeist Brewery plans to put a new spin on Record Store Day with a tapping of its B-Side IPA on Saturday.
Rhinegeist will be on hand to help kick off the celebration of local record retailers starting at 8 a.m. at Shake It Records in Northside. Bands Honey & Houston and Queen City Silverstars will perform at Shake It from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Rhinegeist’s new IPA will be tapped at 11 a.m. Saturday at the following Northside businesses: Northside Tavern, The Comet, Northside Yacht Club, Boswell’s - Cincinnati, The Listing Loon, Arcade Legacy: Bar Edition, Django Western Taco, The Littlefield, Tickle Pickle Northside, Chameleon, Ruth’s Parkside Cafe, the Marathon on Kirby Avenue and Winners Market.
Rhinegeist also will offer the following rare beer tappings throughout the day:
- Sexy Back Panther at 11 a.m. at Northside Yacht Club;
- Pablo Honey Ginger Cougar at 1 p.m. at Listing Loon;
- Diane Coffee Druncle at 3 p.m. at Northside Tavern;
- Blind Lemongrass Zen at 5 p.m. at The Comet.
Shake It Records and other local stores also will be selling Arnold’s Bar and Grill’s locally produced vinyl record “Bootleggers & Hustlers Vol. 2” the same day.
