When did you start working here? July 1995

Where else have you worked? I worked as the ChildWatch reporter for WSVN-TV in Miami prior to coming to Cincinnati, and I worked at WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge as the morning anchor prior to that.

Where did you go to college? I graduated from Louisiana State University with a BA Degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in music in 1992. Previously I attended the University of Cincinnati's prestigious College Conservatory of Music where I majored in Musical Theatre.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your work? In terms of my work, I am most proud of the emphasis I've always put on placing people first and treating everyone I interview with dignity and fairness. My investigative reports on Tasers shined a light on safety concerns that led to changes in the policy and procedures that could very well save lives. I've never been afraid to ask the hard questions...or the stupid ones. In addition I have profiled many good people over the years, everyday heroes and famous ones, and I have been humbled to learn my story-telling touched and inspired people.

What are you most proud of in your own life? I am so very blessed by my two children, Garrett and Samantha, who have great spunk and good hearts. To that end, I must say I am most proud of the sacrifices I've made to give them the time and teaching they need to have healthy, God-honoring, fulfilling lives. My time in their classrooms as a volunteer has been especially rewarding. It's been the small contributions of my life that have brought the biggest personal rewards.

What do you love about living in the Tri-State? I love the sense of community I feel here in the Tri-State. There is a closeness and Midwestern pride. We have all the greatness of bigger cities - the arts and the sports - and yet there's a tight-knit small town feel.

What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions? I love to be down at The Banks during Reds games! I also enjoy a good ride down the Loveland Bike Trail and skipping stones along the banks of the Little Miami River. And I must say I feel so lucky we have such high caliber Broadway Series shows to see at the Aronoff...and such talented musicians as those that play with the Cincinnati Pops!

All time favorites? I laugh hysterically at Modern Family and Rules of Engagement, but my all time favorite shows are Cheers and Seinfeld. I love Jimmy Kimmel. I could watch any movie with Bill Murray, Hugh Grant or John Malkovich over and over (are you getting the hint that I like to laugh?). I enjoy the old bands like The Eagles and newer artists like Michael Bublé. Mostly I love musical theatre and show tunes. Barbara Streisand and Liza Minelli can lift my spirits in seconds. "Start spreadin the news..."

Apps you can't live without? Love my "keeper" security app to keep my confidential info handy in my iPhone. Also just started using "QR Reader" to scan barcodes...and the White Noise app has come in handy in more than one situation.
