CINCINNATI -- A 55-year-old man died after crashing his 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis near the intersection of Corbly Road and Rainbow Lane around 1:22 a.m. Wednesday, police say.
Eric Baker sustained critical injuries when he failed to control his car, left the roadway and struck a tree, according to the Cincinnati Police Department. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Baker was wearing his seatbelt when the crash occurred. Police say excessive speed appears to be a factor in this crash, but there did not appear to be any sort of impairment.
The Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation and any witnesses to this crash are asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (513) 352-2514.
