Man arrested after standoff with Warren County Tactical Response Unit

MASON, Ohio -- Mason Police arrested 53-year-old Michael Dixon on charges of domestic violence and aggravated menacing after finding he wasn't inside a home on Forsythe Place the Warren County Tactical Response Unit had surrounded.

Officers were dispatched to 777 Forsythe Place for a "domestic situation" around 9 p.m. Tuesday. Police say they were notified Dixon was armed and had barricaded himself inside the residence.

After attempted negotiations with the suspect and making entry into the home, police discovered Dixon had fled the scene prior to the officers' arrival. Around 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, police found and arrested Dixon.

He was booked into the Warren County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned at 1 p.m. Thursday.
