Pete Rose's already tarnished legacy just got doused with a layer of slime. According to court documents filed in a lawsuit, a woman claimed she had a sexual relationship with Rose in 1973 when she was 14 or 15 years old. Rose admitted to the relationship, saying he believed she was 16, which is the age of consent in Ohio. But Rose was in his 30s by that point and married and, well, ICK! It's been bad enough that we in the Queen City have had to live under the shadow of Rose's betting and lying. But we've rationalized and ignored and found ways to honor Charlie Hustle here at home. With this new revelation, though, it may be hard to rise to Rose's defense.
