Dedicated fans get Stubbs autographs

NEWPORT, Ky. - Hundreds of Cincinnati Reds fans stopped by the Newport Kroger store off of Grand Ave. and I-471 to have Drew Stubbs sign memorabilia.

Donna Fey of Cincinnati, brought a batting helmet.

"I'm a newbie on this and I'm trying to get a lot of autographs," said Fey.  "I just like meeting all the players and it's really a lot of fun."

Kenneth Watson came from Georgetown, Ky to get Stubbs' autograph on a 2010 framed photograph of Jay Bruce's homerun that clinched the National League Central pennant.

"There's about three or four on this team that I need to finish it," said Watson. "I go to about 20 games a year and whenever I see them signing autographs I just put it out there, and most people are willing to sign it."

Stubbs' appearance was in conjunction with Mission Party Chips sponsorship of the Cincinnati Reds.

More players will make appearances Saturday at various PNC Banks in conjunctions with an eWaste clean-up.
