Two arrested after high-speed police chase ends in three-car crash in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ohio -- Two people were arrested Monday after a police chase that began in Symmes Township ended in a three-car crash in Montgomery.

Natasha Wilson, 26, and Steven Mages, 24, were taken into custody after the high-speed chase that lasted about seven minutes and covered 7.1 miles. Both suspects are from Blanchester, Ohio.

A Hamilton County deputy said he spotted a stolen white Honda on Loveland-Madeira Road driven by Wilson at about 11:04 a.m. when he attempted to stop the vehicle and the pursuit began.

Wilson entered the eastbound lanes of Interstate 275 at about 85 mph before exiting onto southbound Wards Corner Road, deputies said.

The pursuit continued westbound on State Route 126 and then onto Remmington Road.

Wilson then ran a red light at Montgomery Road and Remington Road at about 11:11 a.m. and smacked into a 2006 grey Honda, which then struck a BMW, according to a sheriff's office report.

Wilson and her passenger, Mages, were both arrested at the scene.

Deputies said they found drug instruments and two pit bulls in the back seat.

The front seat passenger in the grey Honda, a 69-year-old Cincinnati woman, was treated at the scene by the City of Montgomery Fire Department for a minor arm injury.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies charged Wilson with receiving stolen property, failure to comply, possession of drug abuse instruments and outstanding warrants. She was transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center to await arraignment.

Mages was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant from Clermont County.

Mages was transported to University Hospital by the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department for back pain. Upon his release, he will be turned over to the Clermont County Sheriff's Office.
