Rodney Grisham, suspected of kidnap plot at Kings Island, had arsenal in his truck, officials say

MASON - A man suspected of attempting to snatch a child at Kings Island had three guns and 4,000 rounds of ammunition in his truck, officials disclosed Thursday.

Rodney L. Grisham waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Mason Municipal Court and was bound over to the Warren County grand jury.

Grisham, a truck driver from Dallas, Texas, has been charged with one count of felony drug possession. He remains in custody at Warren County Jail on $200,000 bond.

Mason police arrested Grisham at the park on July 3 after someone reported him acting suspiciously.

Police said Grisham was using a hidden camera in his sunglasses to videotape children. Police originally said they found one loaded firearm in his truck. They said they also found children's videos and toys, a police-style baton and Taser, and non-licensed prescription medication.

Grisham admitted to violating a parole agreement that prevents him from having a firearm.
