Northern Kentucky air quality shows big improvement

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
says the air quality in northern Kentucky is the best it hasbeen
in 13 years.

The EPA says Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties have now
achieved the 1997 federal air quality standard for ozonepollution
of 0.08 parts per million.

The state Division of Air Quality says in a news release that
the EPA published the achievement in the FederalRegister.
